தவத் தீயில் தான் எரியும் எரிந்தக்கால்
சிவனுடம்பின் மீதிருக்கும் நோய் நீக்கும் கடவூரின்
வானம் நிறைத்த நிலவின் பித்தருக்கே மாட்டுச்
சாணமாகும் மகா சக்தி

திருக்கடவூரின் வானத்தை நிறைத்த நிலவான அபிராமியின் பித்துப் பிடித்தவருக்கு
மாட்டுச் சாணியும் மகா சக்தியாம் அம்பிகையும் ஒன்றேயாம்.

மாட்டுச் சாணி வரட்டியாக்கப்பட்டு வேள்வியித் தீயில் எரியும்.
அம்பிகை தட்சனின் வேள்வித் தீயில் எரிந்தாள்.
எரிந்த வரட்டியின் சாம்பல் சிவனின் திருமேனியில் பூசப்படும்.
அம்பிகை எரிந்த பின் அவளுடம்பை ஈசன் தூக்கி அலைந்தான்.
மாட்டுச் சாணி நோய் விளைவிக்கும் கிருமிகளைக் கொள்ளும் குணம் உள்ளது.
அம்பிகையோ பிறவிப் பெருநோய் நீக்க வல்லாள்.

Meaning in English:

For those who are afflicted with the madness of the full moon that filled the skies of Tirukkadaiyur (Abhirami),
cow dung and maha sakthi ambal are the same.

How?

Dried cow dung is the fuel for vedic sacrifice.
Ambal fell into the sacrificial fire of her father Dakshan when she was born as Dakshayani.
Ashes from the cow dung burnt in sacrifice is what Sivan applies on his body as Vibhuti.
After she was burnt, Siva carried carried Dakshayani's body all over the world.
Cow dung has germicidal properties and therefore prevents disease.
Ambal is the medicine for the disease of birth.
